Tsavo National Park
This park is where the superintendent John Lyall was taken from a steam locomotive by the man eaters lion (Man eaters of Tsavo) during the construction of Kenya railways in 1901.
Tsavo West
The west section of the park is not as large as the eastern section but it has it's own attractions. From the highlands you overlook a wonderful landscape of scrubby plains and volcanic cones with forests concentrated around the water holes. Large numbers animals can be sighted (especially during the dry season) including: Antelope, Lions, Cheetah, Zebra, giraffe, large herds of buffalo and Elephants and the occasional Black Rhino and Leopard sighting. For larger numbers of the famed Black Rhino we will escort you to the Ngulia Rhino Sanctuary(set up to protect the Rhino from Pouching.
Tsavo west highlights
The most popular attraction of Tsavo West is the famed, Mzima Springs from the springs upper and lower pools, Hippo's and Crocodiles abound in it's crystal clear waters, as you the wide eyed voyeurs witness these primitive creatures going about their daily lives. There is also a submerged viewing chamber that places you underwater for a truly intimate viewing experience.
For a wonderful game viewing experience an overnight or afternoon stay at the Kilaguni Lodge is always a highlight when visiting Tsavo West. Visitors can sit and have refreshments while watching the wonderful array of wildlife a few yards away at the watering hole. Overnight guests get the added benefit of an out of this world wildlife circus that begins at dusk and continues throughout the evening.
The Lava that purifies Mzima's waters (also the main water source for the Mombasa area) can be seen throughout the area. The Shetani Lava flow is the best of the group and its original eruption is still the source of much local legend.
Tsavo East
This, the largest section of the park is so vast visitors can explore the park in relative privacy not available at the other game parks. The Voi River's wooded areas have large numbers of game with Mudanda Rock particularly good for viewing large herds of Elephants. A main focus of the park is the lovely Aruba Dam that's visited by thousands of animals on any given day. In the Northern section of the park the spectacular Ligard's falls with its relentless volume of water crashing down on the craggy rocks below. For additional crocodile and hippo viewing Crocodile Point is a short trip from the falls and can be worth the trip.

The Park
Though predator sightings are a rare event but an early morning glimpse of one of the parks 600 Elephants is more common especially from the vantage points of Elephant Hill or Sheldrick falls. Hikes are available to the falls by armed guards and you can even take a swim at the base of the falls if you like. Ostrich, zebra, buffalo, Maasai Giraffe have all been introduced and are thriving next to the indigenous herds of sable antelope. These animals are very impressive, large as horses, with big sweeping horns, that are only present at Shimba Hills.
What Shimba Hills lacks in wildlife it make up with wonderfull views in all directions. The seaward views are the most impressive, with Diani beach visible on most days.
Shimba Lodge
A night at the Lodge wonderful way to be submerge yourself into the African night. From the lodges viewing platforms you can watch elephants, warthogs, monkeys, occasional leopard and of course the sable antelope for which the park is famous. After dark the floodlights illuminate hundreds of bush babies, bats and African insects make for a fantastic evening not easily found elsewhere.
After your night in the tree's the Lodge offers the always interesting "sundowner" nature walk, followed by a proper game drive to complete your visit.

Amboseli National Park
Exploring Amboseli
Amboseli lies in a dried-up lake bed. There are swamps and springs fed by underground rivers from the melting snows or Mt.Kilimanjaro, which give permanent water to the wildlife. The animals seen here include lion, elephant,
wildebeest, cheetah, buffalo, plain game and the rare Taita weaver and the gerenuk.
The animals are mainly found around the Ol Kenya swamp. If the weather is clear and there is no low cloud cover, you may see the peak of Mt.Kilimanjaro which forms a beautiful backdrop to the park. The observation hill offers a view of the entire park and beyond.
Small enough to make it possible to make two or three game drives in a single day and with great visibility make the park a great addition to your safari itinerary. Our tour begins with a trip to Observation Hill, with its stunning view of Mount Kilimanjaro and the swamps of Enkongo Norak, Olokenya and Lake Kioko at the foot of this Kenya's highest peak. With their large selection of wildlife including Hippos, large herd of Elephant and Buffalo, and the always present diverse bird life, make exploration of this area is always enjoyable.
Moving on to the southern woodlands and open plains where Cheetah and the occasional Lion Pride, great herd of Zebra, Wilderbeast, and Gazelle can be viewed along with what appears to be thousands ofGiraffe among the acacias. For some local culture, Maasai cultural bomas where you can take photos of local people, view a display of traditional dancing and buy local crafts. Safari Packages
